1 . Firstly, EGYPT

Egypt is the leading African country with a large military base. The North African country is ranked number 12 globally with a military force of 1,314,500 men and women.

The Egyptian Armed Forces comprise the Egyptian Army, Egyptian Navy, Egyptian Air Force, and Egyptian Air Defense Command. The army has about 500,000 military personnel that are active on the front line.

It also has about 10,000 armored fighting vehicles, 60,000 logistical vehicles, 1,092 aircraft, and substantial oil reserves from which to draw. The traditional carriers, as well as nuclear-powered submarines, is what separates its naval strength from others. The Egyptian Army has a reserve military force of 197,461 personnel.

Morocco is the third African country that allocates a lot of expenditure toward its defense.  The country has an active force of 196,000 personnel, 150,000 reserve personnel, and 50,000 paramilitary force. Morocco has a total of 291 aircraft, 2,720 armored vehicles, 1,109 tanks, and a navy with a fleet of 121 assets at its disposal.

The strength of Sudan’s military is due to decades of al-Bashir rule and funding from Saudi Arabia. A total of 104,300 are military forces in the country, and also has 105,000 paramilitary personnel. It also has at its disposal 191 aircraft, 410 combat tanks, 403 armored fighting vehicles, and a total of 18 naval assets.

The Angola Armed Forces are made of three components that are the army, the navy, and the air force. The country currently has an active force of up to 100,000 troops backed up by 585 armored fighting vehicles, 300 tanks, 285 pieces of aircraft, and a navy of 57 craft.
