Job Description
We are looking for an Air Freight Manager to join our Global Forwarding Team in Jakarta, Indonesia. The function will support the success of the company by offering excellent air freight service to both internal and external clients, raising gross profit and volume targets for all local and regional air RFQs, and making sure that our value proposition lives up to client expectations.
As an air freight manager, you will:
- To give clients the best solutions, either internally or externally, identify and analyze operational challenges in air freight and cultivate senior management contacts both locally and regionally.
- Also, find the best freight rate and the best services from the airlines or suppliers to meet the needs of the customer.
- Additionally, lead and motivate your staff to provide outstanding support for air import and export operations.
- Besides that, oversee the local and regional reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Aside from that, provide monthly market pricing (General Air Tariff) updates to all interested parties and oversee worldwide payment invoicing, bank authorizations, and other related tasks.
- Lastly, Check each RFQ for pricing accuracy.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Most importantly, a PPJK license (customs) and a degree or certification in transportation-related fields
- Also, over five years of experience in the airline and freight forwarding industries; familiarity with all air freight-related issues and their resolution; leadership and team management skills
- Additionally, import and export customs declarations need to be signed by the PPJK license holder.
- Besides that, strong written and spoken English communication abilities for clients and stakeholders in the area
- Above all, possess strong communication and negotiating skills as well as a results-driven mindset
