The One Fruit Dietitians Want You to Eat for a Sharper Mind
What you eat is very important because it ain’t all about being fit but having a sharp brain as well.
For people whose brains are dull, they have difficulty remembering where they left their stuff, cannot multitask and also, they have difficulty concentrating on things around them.
Eating the right kind of food that keeps the brain alert can reduce the risk of developing a neurological problem, boosting your mental health and helping you stay sharp.
According to dieticians, eating blueberries can sharpen your brain this is because it is rich in antioxidants. Blueberries are said to improve the memory and attention span of older adults that eat them.
BENEFITS OF EATING BLUEBERRIES
1 . To begin with, They are rich in antioxidants:
Blueberries contain anthocyanin, powerful antioxidants that give the blueberries their color. Blueberries have an anti-inflammatory property that protects the brain cells from damage making them an excellent snack for the brain.
2 . Secondly, They are high in flavonoids:
Blueberries are rich in flavonoids. The flavonoids are plant compounds that reduce the risk of suffering from dementia. Diets that contain flavonoids are said to lower the risk of a decline in your cognitive abilities.
3 . Also, Eating blueberries put you in a better mood.
It has been proven by researchers that blueberries have an effect on mental health issues like depression and anxiety. It was observed by researchers that when blueberries were offered to depressed adults and children, there was a sudden lift in their moods.

Fiber-like antioxidants decrease inflammation and feed the gut with “good bacteria”. The richness in fiber, allows them to improve our microbiome health and reduce inflammation in the gut and the brain.
