Popular Ghanaian rapper Nii Addo Quaynor who is widely known as Tinny has dismissed rumors indicating that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The Kankpe Records signee was reported to have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus on 1 July 2020. Nii Funny wrote that COVID-19 is real and that Ghanaians should pray for Tinny. He disclosed the news on his Facebook page.
The management of Tinny has released a statement signed by Nii Kweitey Quaynor, which strongly debunks the fact that Tinny has been diagnosed with covid19. In the statement, the management of Tinny entreated fans, close relations and the general public to stay calm as the musician in question is in good health and has not in any way contracted the deadly virus.
According to the press release, the news became public after a funny conversation between Tinny and his colleague musician, Nii Funny. They also took the opportunity to urge all Ghanaians to observe all measures put in place by the government to fight the pandemic.
They concluded by asking bloggers and people who have influence on social media to stay away from the spread of false information.
