THE BIG STORY || Ghana hit 1,460 COVID-19 recoveries, 5th best in Africa

Ghana is presently in the news of good omen with regards to the recoveries it has recorded. The country has for a record time since the handle of COVID-19 is now having a big shot in its recovery data.

Reverence to the Ghana Health Service COVID-19 official category reports total recoveries of a whooping 1,460. That is a total of 946 new recoveries recorded under 24 hours. A rise from the previous update of recoveries from 514 to 1,460.

This exciting hint was ealier given by the Minister of information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, on his official facebook page. He however warned that the good news does not mean we can let down our guard and live without care.

“We are making progress. Some good recovery numbers are coming in. Ghana Health Service should be announcing soon. Doesn’t mean we can let down our guard and live without care. Let’s keep observing the preventive etiquette.” the Information Minister hinted with caution.

Currently on the Africa continent of 54 countries, Ghana follows up as the 5th country with the highest recoveries after South Africa(6,083),Egypt (2,799),Morocco (3,400), and Algeria (3217) taking the top four places.

In Ghana, with 108 more people recording positive, total case count now stand at 5,638 with 28 deaths.
