Job Purpose:
At PFC we have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Instrumentation Manager role in Tema, Ghana.
The person will manage in an efficient and cost-effective manner all the company’s routine electrical and instrumentation activities and projects with respect to conformance to audit aspects of engineering works, including preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment, coordinating/implementing new projects and administering contractors and engineering technicians.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of 13 technicians.
- Responsible for achieving optimal efficiency of all electrical equipment and machinery.
- Responsible for providing quality support to the entire plant to attain volumes, minimize breakdown with the objective to satisfy all internal customers and be main actor in our quality management system.
- Responsible for the Preventive Maintenance.
- Ensure Capital projects for installation of new lines and equipment are delivered to approved investment, agreed timelines, performance targets and that they are competently designed, specified, procured and installed to provide safe operations.
- Responsible for motivation of the Team by using different tools (LEAN management, Continuous improvement, performance management, employee engagement etc.).
- Responsible for minimizing environmental impact of engineering operations (saving energy, less waste, sustainability etc.)
- Supervise the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and electrical system of the factory.
- Lead and manage the electrical team in the daily functions of the plant to ensure that production and quality requirements are delivered.
- Carry out improvements to the electrical systems ensuring the lowest possible manufacturing costs by increasing efficiency and attainment of production targets.

Profile:
- Minimum of Diploma/Bsc Electrical & Instrumentation qualification with minimum 10 years Process Industrial Practice – heavy current as well as control system and instrumentation exposure of which at least five years must have been in managerial position.
- Knowledge of safety standards, electrical safety standards (local and European).
- Strong knowledge and practices of electrical standards
- Strong skills and knowledge in Preventive Maintenance of electrical system.
- Knowledge and ability to manage / perform in energy saving specially in electricity.
- Strong knowledge of key programming languages for PLC/Display / (Siemens, OMRON, Allen Bradley).
- Strong experience in mechanical equipment design and maintenance.
- Exceptional experience in TPM (Total Productivity Maintenance).
