- Job Title: Installation Engineer, Ghana
- Location: Takoradi
Job Purpose:
A critical component to ensuring proper planning and execution of post-manufacturing services to our customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performance testing and installation support, technical documentation, product design review and validation, technical planning, customer interfaces, project execution, product and system troubleshooting, product maintenance, repair and refurbishment.
Role Interaction:
- Internal Frequent contact and interface with project managers, product group engineering departments, and technical service professionals to effectively prepare and provide technical support for duration of projects.
- External Frequent interface with customers and third-party suppliers to define technical scope, field operations, vessel interfaces and to provide technical support for field/equipment operations.
Responsibilities/Key Objectives:
- Firstly, Provides technical support to Customer and/or Base and Field operations.
- Secondly, Compiles and provides all the necessary procedures, documentation, and drawings in support of field operations (i.e. vessels and rig).
- Thirdly, Engages and interacts with the Base Engineer/Headquarters based project engineer to discuss any deviations or faults, troubleshooting proposals and possible corrective solutions.
- Furthermore, Generates and provides all the work instructions, necessary procedures, documentation, and drawings for all onshore work (i.e. SRTS, mobilizations, etc.), as required.
- Additionally, Attends Action Tracker meeting with subsea and drilling departments in Takoradi and communicates actions to the FSCS.
- More so, Generates and updates the maintenance plan and tracker for every asset in-country and ensures equipment maintenance needs are addressed on time.
- Moreover, Provides onshore technical support to the Tullow subsea engineers responsible for the intervention, tie-ins, commissioning and completions and liaison with TechnipFMC specialist engineering resources.
- Then, Assists with operational planning, briefings, debriefing and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for the operations.
- Also, Receives and reviews the FNCRS either from the FSC or directly from the offshore crew.
- Thereafter, Determines if the FNCR should be entered as a Quality or Service Notification and enter as appropriate.
- Besides that, Follows up with the appropriate TechnipFMC manufacturing center on the progress and close out of SN/QN’s.
- Most importantly, Generates and provides all the necessary installation/testing procedures, documentation, and drawings in support of field operations (i.e. vessels and rig).
- Afterwards, Generates AARs to document field operations and equipment installed/retrieved in the field.
- Finally, Generates FNCRs, as required, for any field events that arise. FNCRS used to document such events as well as documents the required field fixes and/or any other actions identified to prevent an event from re-occurring.
Qualification & Requirement:
- BSc Degree in Engineering required; mechanical preferred. 2+ years of prior field service experience
- Ability to perform international travel.
- Ability to interpret project and customer requirements to develop engineering documentation (i.e. equipment/tooling testing and installation procedures)
- Then, Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Experience in generating procedures per project and customer requirements.
- Can display hands-on field experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are important
- Strong computer proficiency with applicable software applications in related field.
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is important.
- Ability to provide product design in a single area, producing drawings and related documentation as directed.
- Evaluates effectiveness, safety, and economic impact of designs and develop recommendations to optimize results if required.
- Exhibits working knowledge of interfaces within single product line.
- Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed.
