    Tallinn University Scholarships 2022-2023: Estonia Scholarships

    Tallinn University Scholarships 2022-2023 batch are now open for online applications for all international, national, and quota-based students. and the Estonian government has initiated various scholarship schemes in order to support international students who are interested in studying or are already studying at Tallinn University.

    Tallinn University Scholarships Opportunities

    There are four major scholarship offerings available at Tallinn University of Estonia listed below:

    #1 Estonian Government Scholarships for International Students

    The Estonian Government Scholarships for International Students are;

    • for undergraduate studies in the fields related to Estonian language and culture;
    • for MA and Ph.D. studies;
    • for participation in summer and winter schools;
    • mobility grants for researchers and academic staff. 

    #2 Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships 2022

    Tallinn University’s Fully funded scholarships by the Estonian Ministry of Education (MOE) for the applicants applying for the selected Master’s programmes. The scholarship covers the tuition fee and a monthly allowance is granted.

    #3 Dora Plus Scholarships

    Dora Plus scholarship can be awarded to a Master’s student of Tallinn University or to a visiting Ph.D. student from a foreign university. The scholarship for foreign Master’s students is 350 euros per month. For visiting Ph.D. students, the scholarship amount is 660 euros per month for up to ten months.

    #4 Tallinn University’s Study Allowances and Scholarships

    This scholarship by Tallinn University includes needs-based study allowance, need-based special allowances, scholarship based on study results, specialty grant, and doctoral allowance.

    Steps to Choose a Degree Programme at Tallinn University

    Find the programme you are interested in applying to. Make sure you meet the general requirements which you can see in the description of each study level. Please choose the study level that you would like to study at here.

    Familiarize yourself with the programme’s description and programme-specific requirements which are described on the website of the programme you are interested in.

    Make sure you have proof of English language proficiency. Note that the proof of English proficiency needs to be valid at the beginning of studies.

    For applicants to Doctoral programmes: Contact the academic unit you would like to begin your Doctoral studies at to find a prospective supervisor. All Ph.D. programmes can be seen here and you can find the contact person on the programme page.     The Process to Apply for Tallinn University Scholarships

    Tallinn University has received funding from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to offer scholarships for applicants applying for the degree programmes admission.

    International applicants (applicants who do not have Estonian citizenship or right of permanent residence in Estonia) apply through the online application system link (available at the end of this article).

    Applicants with Estonian citizenship or a long-term residence permit in Estonia apply via the online application system SAIS. Please see the procedure for applying via SAIS here.

    Estonian Scholarships Applications and documents are accepted during the admission period announced in Tallinn University’s academic calendar. Admission to Tallinn University’s Bachelor’s and Master’s studies takes place once a year. Admission to Doctoral studies may take place more than once a year.

    To apply, you must upload and submit the following documents with your application on DreamApply:

    • Copies of education documents required to apply for the programme;
    • A copy of the identification page of your passport;
    • Proof of English language proficiency. Please remember that the proof of English proficiency needs to be valid at the beginning of studies;
    • Specific documents required for the programme you are applying to. You can see programme-specific requirements on the web page of the programme you are applying to. Please see all programmes here. Please note that a programme-specific requirement may also include a written assignment which will be considered a part of your entrance exam;
    • A copy of a Sworn Affidavit to Confirmation of Name if you have changed your name or the name stated in your passport differs from your name on any of the other required documents;
    • If you are applying for adjustments to be made during the admission exams due to your physical or psycho-social special need, a copy of medical proof of this special need must be submitted;
    • Applicants applying for Doctoral level studies must submit a Curriculum Vitae and a thesis proposal signed by a qualified academic supervisor.

    Documents that are not in Estonian or English must be accompanied by a translation into Estonian or English, certified by the issuer, a sworn translator, or a notary. Please read about official translations here
