AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently near completion of the redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.
We are seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to join our dedicated team as :
- Able to create a complete and well-thought-out asset management plan, using equipment and production data.
- Comprehensive understanding of work management systems that deliver effective planning, resourcing, and execution of maintenance work.
- Develop continuous monitoring processes to systematically identify and eliminate chronic defects that lead to failures of major and critical equipment.
- Able to analyze and interpret condition monitoring data in order to identify early signs of failure, take preventative action and mitigate consequences.
- Understands the basic maintenance and reliability requirements of key assets and can identify when assets are performing below design performance.

- Understanding of survey principles and practices
- Intermediate surveying computations to include traversing, inversing, translation, and rotation of data, simple curves, closures of figures and areas
- Understanding of surveying software and computer-aided design (CAD) equipment in preparation of survey plats
- Ability to prepare and write legal descriptions from deeds of record and from data acquired from field surveys
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of cartography
- Knowledge of Land Acquisition Procedures, Part VIII, Mapping Standards
- Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry

- A great multi-tasker who is organized and able to excel in a fast-paced environment
- High level of computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Exposure to project scheduling software packages
- Ability to continuously improve the processes used by the team in delivering outputs
- Detail-oriented to understand complex systems, and recognition that a minor error can cause major problems
- Able to manage performance based on interpretation of data and can initiate and drive the operational improvements as required.

- Provide leadership and support for the entire team to achieve sectional goals.
- Manage contractor labor mobilization to comply with site entry policy, mine entry requests management to meet sustainability, security, and HR/IR requirements
- Support and organize contractor site mobilization and demobilization
- Organize and schedule contractor employee training to minimize disruption of work
- Efficient organization and coordination of project contractor employees
- Maintain an organized filing system for project contractors
- Suggest and implement improved work methods and systems relating to administrative tasks

- Ensure availability of critical spares which are repaired and fit for purpose.
- Ensure reduced duration for offsite repairs to critical assets, planned before removing
- Ensure storage/transportation standards are in place and compliant
- Ensure safe staging areas within the Shaft Banks/ Workshops that comply with site regulations
- Ensure external labor requests that comply with site entry policy
- Identify in a timely manner all current and potential risks to the Refurbishment, Construction and Maintenance activities utilizing the established Risk Management System, identifying activities and strategies to eliminate, manage or mitigate these risks
