Funding Benefits
Here’s a summary of what chosen fellows are granted throughout the three-year award period:
- $150,000 Grant Stipend (for living expenses, artistic creation, and project activities)
- $36,000 Housing Allowance distributed over a period of three years
- $1,500 Studio Relocation Allowance
- Completely Funded Independent Studio Space with shared use of premium facilities (ceramics, wood, metal, media, podcast studio, and additional resources) estimated at ~$36,000.
- $3,600 stipend for studio assistant
- $3,600 Health and Wellness Allowance
- Reimbursements for childcare during fellowship events

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this transformative chance, you must:
- Possess U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, Tribal identification, or an O-1 visa.
- Be no younger than 25 years by the application deadline.
- Possess at least five years of experience in the arts field.
- Be open to living and working in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the entire 3-year period (with some travel exceptions permitted).
- Suggest a creative, feasible community-driven art initiative that will enhance Tulsa’s cultural identity.
- Engage in any form or field—visual arts, performance, literature, digital media, etc.
- Please be aware that past recipients of the Tulsa Artist Fellowship and staff members of GKFF, TCF, or GKFF Operating LLC cannot apply.
How to Apply
Application Timelines
The application period for the Tulsa Artist Fellowship 2026–2028 award cycle will start on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, and the application portal will be accessible until Thursday, May 29, 2025. Every applicant will receive an update on their application status by September 2026.
Chosen finalists will be invited to take part in virtual interviews in the Fall/Winter of 2026. The formal commencement of the fellowship period is set for January 2026, with the program finishing in December 2028.
