Study in USA: Auburn University Graduate Scholarships 2027 (Fully Funded)

Applications are being invited for the Graduate Research Assistantship in molecular diagnostics, forest biotechnology, pine genetics, and forest resilience.

The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment at Auburn University is seeking graduate students to join research projects that address major issues in forest health and sustainable forest management. Candidates with an academic background in forestry, biotechnology, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, bioinformatics, and allied areas are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will be awarded tuition support and an annual living stipend of around US$25,000 for master’s students or US$27,000 for PhD students, depending on the position and level of degree. Such assistantships provide the opportunity to collaborate with experienced researchers, build skills in practical laboratory or fieldwork, and contribute to scientific research.

Graduate Research Assistantship-Forest Biotechnology & Disease Diagnostics

This position focuses on developing practical techniques for tree disease detection and improving forest health monitoring. The study aims to improve early detection and help researchers and forest managers better understand disease threats.

Successful students may participate in the design, development, and evaluation of molecular diagnostic tools for the detection of the pathogen and assessment of disease risk.

Graduate Opportunities in Pine Genetics and Forest Resilience

This research opportunity studies the potential for tree genetics, forest management approaches, and beneficial fungi to improve the establishment and resilience of pine forests.

There are two initiatives in the research announcement.

  1. Project A: Genetics and Management of Pine Forests
  2. Project B: Pine Planting on Salt-Affected Land
