Eligibility Criteria

Standards for Undergraduate Applicant Qualification:

  • Applications will be accepted from international fee-paying students residing in the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
  • Applicants must have mostly resided in these countries for the past three years to be deemed domiciled there.
  • Your permanent country of residence is deemed to be the nation where you are typically resident, rather than a country where you reside solely for full-time schooling.
  • Applicants for the South Asian prizes must possess a conditional or unconditional offer to pursue a full-time on-campus master’s program at The University of Manchester commencing in September 2025, and must submit an online scholarship application form by 24 April 2025.
  • The application form will be sent via email to all qualified offer-holders.
    Applicants will be evaluated for the award based on academic achievement and the caliber of their scholarship application; however, we will strive to maintain a balance in the distribution of prizes by gender, residence, and course.
    Applicants must finance themselves independently (without sponsorship).
  • Individuals applying for MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine, and Dentistry degrees are ineligible for the prize. Certain ‘Master’s by Research’ programs are also disqualified (see to Terms and Conditions below).
  • Applicants possessing a Bachelor’s degree obtained outside of South Asia are ineligible for the award.
  • Individuals applying for blended and remote learning programs are ineligible for the grant.

Process for Undergraduate Scholarship Applications:

The deadline for application submission is 10 April 2025, and all successful candidates will be notified by 30 April 2025. Scholarship applicants must answer several questions regarding their academic achievements and future aspirations, with their responses assessed alongside academic merit.

Process for Master’s Scholarship Applications:

Eligible candidates are required to submit their scholarship applications by 10 April 2025. The application form will be available solely upon receipt of an offer, similar to the undergraduate rewards. Successful candidates will get notified by 30 April 2025.
