The new PhD fellowship program will finance up to 12 exceptional Black postgraduate research candidates commencing in Autumn 2024. Criteria for Eligibility

These scholarships seek to rectify the under-representation of gifted Black or Black mixed-heritage students in academics. Applicants are required to fulfill the subsequent criteria:

Designated as ‘Home’ for the purpose of tuition fees.

Select from the following ethnic categories: Black African, Black Caribbean, Black Other, Mixed – White and Black Caribbean, Mixed – White and Black African, or other mixed backgrounds encompassing Black African, Black Caribbean, or Black Other.

Not presently registered in a PhD program at the University of Birmingham.
