Study in UK | Kings College London IoPPN Postgraduate Taught Scholarships 2026/2027

Kings College London has released an important funding update for students planning to pursue postgraduate study in mental health and brain sciences. The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience IoPPN is now accepting applications for its Postgraduate Taught Scholarships for the 2026 to 2027 academic year. These awards support students beginning eligible Master’s level programmes in September 2026 and target high performing candidates from across the world.

As one of the leading global institutions in psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience research, IoPPN aims to attract exceptional students while reducing the financial pressure often associated with postgraduate education.

Overview of the Scholarship Schemes

IoPPN offers several internal scholarship routes, each linked to its academic schools. These funding options include:

  • School of Academic Psychiatry Scholarships
  • School of Mental Health and Psychological Sciences Scholarships
  • School of Neuroscience Scholarships
  • IoPPN Deans Scholarships

All awards share the same funding value and application process. Applicants apply once per course and compete within their chosen academic area.

Scholarship Value and Financial Support

Each selected student receives a scholarship worth £5000. The award is credited directly to tuition fees and reduces the overall amount payable to the university.

Key funding details include:

  • Value of five thousand pounds per award
  • Applied directly to tuition fees
  • Available for PGCert PGDip and MSc programmes
  • Cannot combine with full tuition awards such as Chevening
  • Does not affect admission decisions if not awarded

Although the scholarship does not cover full fees, it provides meaningful financial relief and encourages access to specialist postgraduate study.

  • Hold no completed full Masters degree or equivalent qualification
