Eligibility Requirements
KMU encourages applications from:
- Foreign Students (non-R.O.C. passport holders) are governed by the Regulations on International Student Studies in Taiwan.
- Chinese students studying abroad, including those from Hong Kong or Macao, who have long-term residency outside their home country.
- Lastly, students from Mainland China are required to submit their applications via the University Entrance Committee for Mainland Chinese Students.
Eligibility by Program Tier
- Undergraduate: A high school diploma from a foreign or Taiwanese bilingual institution, authenticated by the Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE).
- School of Post-Baccalaureate Medicine: A valid Bachelor’s degree and evidence of acceptance via an international student pathway.
- Master’s: A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, authenticated and acknowledged by the MOE.
- Ph.D.: A Master’s degree or above, acknowledged by the MOE and confirmed by Taiwan’s R.O.C. representative office.
How to Apply
- Establish a personal account and choose your preferred degree program (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral). You can submit applications to a maximum of 3 programs.
- Diligently complete the form, consent to the application conditions, and submit the necessary documents.
- Print, sign, and upload the completed application form again.
- Provide two referees for every program.
- Complete and send in your application ahead of the cutoff.
Application Deadlines
The application window for Kaohsiung Medical University’s Spring Intake 2026 opens on July 10, 2025, and closes on October 9, 2025. Eligibility reviews will take place from July to November, with departmental evaluations from October 15 to November 12, 2025. Announcement of Admission results is on December 4, 2025, and successful applicants should register in February 2026.
