The scholarship does not…

  • Incorporate insurance. We advise consulting your university to ascertain the insurance coverage available for international students.
  • Allocate supplementary grants for relatives.
  • Pay the application cost for University Admissions.
  • Permit modifications to the academic curriculum. We can only provide assistance through the granted master’s program.
  • Permit extensions or modifications to the designated scholarship duration.

Eligibility Requirements for the Swedish Institute Women in STEM Scholarship 2025:

  • Women from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam are eligible.
  • Citizenship of a qualified country is required, however residency at the time of application is not necessary.
  • Individuals with dual citizenship must choose one qualifying citizenship for their application; the submission of numerous applications will lead to disqualification.
  • Also, individuals possessing Swedish/EU/EEA citizenship, permanent residency in Sweden, or connections to a Swedish/EU/EEA resident are ineligible.
  • Individuals with dual citizenship from non-DAC nations are disqualified from this scholarship.

University Enrollment

Admissions to Swedish universities and colleges are administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education via its webpage, University Admissions. Eligibility criteria for the SI scholarship include:

  • Obligated to remit tuition fees to Swedish universities. Determine your liability for tuition expenses here.
  • Timely payment of the application fee for master’s programs has been completed. The payment is directed to University Admissions.
  • Be accepted (or provisionally accepted) into one of the qualifying master’s programs on the day of admission notifications. A scholarship can only be granted for the master’s program to which you are admitted in March 2025. Master’s programs in which you are designated as a reserve cannot be considered. No scholarships are offered for late admissions.
