The institute is actively seeking highly motivated candidates for PhD and postdoctoral positions as part of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1333. This research initiative promises to delve deep into the intricacies of catalysis, specifically tailored to explore how molecular interactions are influenced by confined spaces and geometrical constraints.

About the Research Project 

Within the team, you will investigate the creation of MOF–COF hybrid frameworks (refer to Figure 1 in the official call) featuring catalytic centers and examine their use in the conversion of organic molecules. This study has significant consequences for material development, eco-friendly chemistry, and nanotechnology.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Materials Science and have a strong foundation in one or more of the following fields:

  • (Metal)organic synthesis
  • Catalysis in organic reactions
  • Porous molecular structures
  • Extra abilities (not required but desirable):
  • Schlenk line or glove box methods
  • PXRD, NMR, SEM, IR, UV–vis, ESI-MS, gas adsorption, electrocatalysis
  • Knowledge of Python or Materials Studio software.
  • Strong English communication abilities and a desire to participate in CRC activities and cross-disciplinary teamwork are crucial.
