Study in Germany | Hochschule Für Technik Und Wirtschaft Berlin DAAD MIDE Scholarships 2026

The Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) Berlin is excited to announce the opening of applications for the Dead-ended MIDE Scholarships for the year 2026. This opportunity is specifically aimed at ambitious international students eager to pursue a Master’s in International and Development Economics (MIDE), with classes set to begin in April 2026.

The program targets professionals from developing and transitioning nations seeking to deepen their knowledge of development economics. It offers fully funded graduate studies in Germany, promoting academic excellence and cultural diversity. The scholarship aims to support candidates while enriching the community at HTW Berlin. It seeks to empower future leaders with the skills to address economic challenges in their home countries. Interested applicants are encouraged to seize this opportunity for impactful education and development initiatives globally.

Scholarship Benefits

Chosen candidates will receive the esteemed DAAD EPOS Scholarship, which offers:

  • A monthly allowance of around €934 to manage living costs in Germany.
  • Complete tuition fee exemption for the full 18-month MIDE program.
  • Insurance for health, accidents, and personal liability during the entire stay.
  • Travel reimbursement (calculated from home country distance).
  • Extra assistance, like monthly housing assistance and family benefits, when applicable.

This substantial scholarship allows students to concentrate entirely on their educational and career growth, free from concerns about financial obstacles.

Eligibility Requirements

Curious about your eligibility? Inquire within yourself:

  • Have you finished a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), accumulating at least 180 ECTS credits?
  • Have you taken economics courses, at least 3 modules or 15 ECTS credits?
  • Do you possess at least two years of applicable work experience following your graduation?
  • Is your command of English adequate to manage graduate-level studies? (You don’t need to take tests if your previous degree was delivered in English.)

If you responded “yes” to these, you’re headed in the right direction!
