Requirements for the University of Angers Eiffel Excellence Scholarship

A. Eligibility Requirements for a Master’s Scholarship

To be eligible for the 2027 Eiffel Scholarship at the Master’s level, students must complete the following prerequisites.

1. Academic Background

• Students must currently or previously be enrolled at one of the University of Angers’ foreign partner universities.

2. Age Requirement

• Candidates should be born on or after 31 March 1997.

3. Nationality Requirement

• Applicants must be non-citizens.
• Candidates who are dual nationals, including French nationals, will not be eligible.

4. Residence Requirement

• No student may be admitted to France for the 2026-2027 academic year.

5. Other Scholarship Restrictions

Candidates must not be receiving:

• Any scholarship from the French government.
• An Erasmus+ scholarship.
• A scholarship from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)

B. PhD Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

The conditions are different for applicants who want to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship for PhD studies.

1. Academic Background

• Applicants must be actively enrolled students and exhibit outstanding academic achievement.

2. Age Requirement

• Doctoral candidates must be born after 31 March 1991, when the selection procedure takes place in 2027.

3. Nationality Requirement

• Candidates must be foreigners.
• Applicants who are dual nationals, one of whom is French, are not eligible.

4. Other Scholarship Restrictions

• The candidate shall not have a scholarship from the French government, an Erasmus+ grant or a scholarship from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.

5. Research Supervision

• PhD students must find a competent thesis supervisor at the University of Angers.
