Study in Europe: Erasmus Mundus ILSPSD Scholarship 2027 (Fully Funded)

Students are invited to apply for the 2027 Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in International Law of Security, Peace and Sustainable Development (ILSPSD) Scholarship. The programme provides an outstanding opportunity for students and early-career professionals interested in international law, peace and security, human rights, sustainability, international relations and global governance.

The ILSPSD is a two-year, full-time Erasmus Mundus joint master’s programme offered by a consortium of prominent European universities. Students have the opportunity to study in three or more European countries, to receive an international academic experience and to build particular knowledge applicable to jobs in law, diplomacy, international organisations, government, policy, human rights and sustainable development.

Successful applicants will get € 1,400 per month for 24 months, plus financial support for travel, visa, installation and sustenance fees. Tuition fees are also waived for scholarship holders, who are offered health and accident insurance coverage.

Requirements for Erasmus Mundus ILSPSD Scholarship

1. Bachelor’s Degree:

• Applicants shall hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to at least 180 ECTS within the European Higher Education Area or an equivalent qualification outside the EHEA.
• The undergraduate degree must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• The qualification must also enable the candidate access to studies at the master’s level in the nation where the bachelor’s degree was obtained.

2. Academic Requirements by Track

Additional academic requirements may be applicable based on the Semester 3 study track selected.

University of Glasgow Track

• Candidates will typically hold a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent (non-UK) in law.

The University of Glasgow may additionally consider applicants with a UK 2.1 Honours degree or worldwide equivalent in the following:

1. Politics
2. International relations
3. Relevant social sciences
4. Humanities-related topics

Université libre de Bruxelles Track

• Candidates must have an LLB, a master’s degree or equivalent certification of at least 240 ECTS credits or four years’ study in law or a comparable field.

University of Tartu Track

• Applicants must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or a comparable certificate with at least 60 ECTS in law or law-related courses.

Universidade NOVA de Lisboa Track

• There are no other academic requirements beyond the basic ILSPSD entry requirements.

Language Requirements

English Language Requirements

• Applicants whose first language is not English or who have not completed undergraduate studies in English in a country where English is an official language and the language of instruction in higher education, must demonstrate English proficiency at the requisite level.

The minimal requirement is English proficiency at the CEFR C1 level.

French Language Requirement

• In Brussels, the track requires a qualification in French.
• Applicants wishing to follow the relevant study track must verify that they meet the applicable French-language requirement and submit the required proof at the time of application.
