Study in China | UIBE University Youth of Excellence Scholarship 2026/2027

Your next career move could take you to Beijing. The Youth of Excellence Scheme of China 2026–2027, part of the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship framework, is now accepting applications for global professionals ready to step into leadership roles in international economic governance. If you work in government, business, or international organizations and want to shape global economic policy, this opportunity deserves your full attention.

Administered by the China Scholarship Council, this initiative targets emerging leaders from developing countries. Among its flagship programs sits the Master of International Economic Cooperation at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. This one year English taught master’s degree combines classroom learning, research, and real world policy exposure. It equips you with the strategic vision needed to operate in today’s complex global economy.

What Makes This Program a Game Changer

The MIEC program focuses on one thing: cultivating professionals who can shape global economic policies and lead international cooperation initiatives. It builds leadership skills, strengthens economic policy knowledge, and enhances cross cultural communication abilities for future decision makers.

Here is what you gain as a participant:

  • Deep expertise in international economic cooperation and global governance
  • Clear understanding of China’s economic policies, trade strategies, and development trends
  • Hands on exposure to Chinese enterprises, government institutions, and economic zones
  • Direct engagement with policymakers, executives, and international experts through specialized lectures
  • A powerful global network with professionals from multiple countries

This is not just another academic degree. It is a platform to expand your influence and contribute to international economic collaboration at the highest levels.

What the Fully Funded Scholarship Covers

Selected applicants receive a full Chinese Government Scholarship covering the complete one year MIEC program at UIBE.

The funding package includes:

  • Full tuition fee coverage
  • On campus accommodation or housing support
  • Monthly living stipend
  • Comprehensive medical insurance
  • Access to academic research facilities and leadership development sessions
  • Field visits to enterprises, economic development zones, and government departments

This comprehensive support lets you focus entirely on your learning, research, and professional growth. No financial distractions. No worrying about living costs. Just pure development.

How the Academic Program Works

The MIEC program follows a one year full time structure taught entirely in English.

The academic timeline runs from early September to late December for the fall semester, then late February to late May for the spring semester. Between semesters, you engage in cultural activities and study tours across China.

The curriculum combines theory with practical application. You take core compulsory courses on global economics, investment, and business foundations. Moreover, you choose electives on digital trade, supply chain management, and cross cultural leadership. You complete business research and field study projects. You attend academic seminars and thesis writing training.

To graduate, you must complete 30 academic credits, submit a master’s thesis, and successfully defend your research. You then receive a Master of Economics degree from the University of International Business and Economics.

Who Qualifies for This Opportunity

This program targets mid career and senior professionals with demonstrated leadership potential and international engagement experience.

Here are the specific requirements:

  • You must be a non Chinese citizen from a developing country with diplomatic relations with China.
  • You need to be under 45 years old and in good physical and mental health.
