What is the procedure for applying to the Dalian University CSC Scholarship for 2025?

Application Documents

1. Application Form for the Chinese Government Scholarship:

Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship must complete the online application, print the application form, and sign it after submission. The CSC Online Application System for studying in China can be accessed at http://www.campuschina.org

Note: When completing the online application, the Agency No. for DUT is 10141.

2. DUT Application Form:

IF WE VERIFY YOUR INFORMATION IN THE DUT ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE DISMISSED.

3. Notarized highest academic credential:

Applicants who are university students must also submit proof of enrollment. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translations in either Chinese or English. PhD applicants must submit their undergraduate and master’s degree certificates.

4. Academic transcripts (Beginning from the undergraduate program):

Academic transcripts from the initial to the final semester of undergraduate, graduate (if applicable), and doctoral programs (if applicable) must be submitted. The transcript must be issued and sealed by the academic affairs office or student management department of the graduate university. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translations in either Chinese or English.

5. A suggestion for a study plan (minimum of 1000 words):

The study plan proposal must be composed in either Chinese or English. Kindly elaborate on the primary research area you wish to pursue at DUT and obtain signatures from DUT supervisors. Please refer to Attachment 1.

6. Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors at the applicant’s alma mater:

The letter must be composed in either Chinese or English. These letters will articulate the applicant’s educational objectives in China, overall competencies, and assessment of prospective development. Kindly consult attachment 2.

7. Foreign National Medical Examination Form:

The applicant must adhere completely to the requirements outlined in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, which must be filled out in English. The Foreigner Physical Examination Form shall be deemed invalid if any of the following elements are absent: pages, a self-photo, a cross-page stamp over both the photo and the form, or a physician’s signature and hospital stamp. The results of the medical examination are valid for a duration of six months. Kindly consult Attachment 3.

8. Blood Test Report:

  • The Blood Test Report must encompass results for HIV, Syphilis/V.D.R.L, HbsAg, and HCV.
  • Photocopy of the passport’s photo page and one unutilized visa page:
  • The ordinary passport will expire subsequent to September 2025.

10. Certificates of Language Proficiency:

Chinese-Taught Program, prerequisite of HSK Level and Score (valid for 2 years as follows):

  • Majors pertaining to science, engineering, economics, and management necessitate a new HSK test Level 4 with a minimum score of 180.
  • For majors pertaining to humanities and foreign languages, the requirement is the new HSK test Level 5 with a minimum score of 180.

English-taught program requires an English competence certificate as follows:

  • To submit a TOEFL or IELTS transcript, the score must be at least 80 for TOEFL and 5.5 for IELTS.
  • A certificate confirming that the medium of instruction in the preceding stage was English.
  • Applicants from nations where English is the official language are excluded from providing a certificate of English language proficiency.
  • Should the candidate be unable to furnish the aforementioned certificate, the supervisors and department may assess your language proficiency based on the interview or written examination.

11. Certificate of Absence of Criminal Conviction:

The duration of validity is six months. If provision at the application stage is unfeasible, the No Criminal Record Commitment in Attachment 4 may be executed as a provisional alternative instrument.
