Study in Canada | University of Toronto Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026
The Jackman Humanities Institute (JHI), in partnership with DH@UofT (the newly revitalized Critical Digital Humanities Initiative), is pleased to announce a call for applications for a 12-month Postdoctoral Fellowship in Digital Humanities. The fellowship will run from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, and is designed to support an early-career scholar pursuing innovative, independent research in the field of Digital Humanities.
Aligned with the JHI’s annual theme, “Doubles, Doppelgängers,” the fellowship offers a unique opportunity for scholars to explore questions of duplication, mirroring, and multiplicity across disciplines, while engaging critically with digital methodologies and tools.
In addition to advancing their own research, the successful candidate will actively contribute to the growth of the digital humanities community across the University of Toronto’s tri-campus network. The fellowship emphasizes collaboration, intellectual exchange, and community-building, offering the scholar a platform to foster meaningful connections between faculty, graduate students, and research initiatives.
This postdoctoral fellowship not only provides financial and institutional support but also positions the fellow at the intersection of cutting-edge humanities scholarship and digital innovation, reinforcing U of T’s role as a hub for transformative research.
