The Centre will grant four fellowships, each worth $5,000. Applicants who succeed will be granted the title of Graduate Student Fellow at the Social Justice Centre. Along with the monetary prize, fellows will be highlighted on the Centre’s official website, provided access to coworking areas in the Hall building, and offered the chance to utilize the SHIFT co-working space for social change projects.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates should be presently registered in a graduate degree program at Concordia University. Although all graduate students can apply, preference will be given to those who are in the writing phase of their MA or PhD dissertations. Candidates must show a distinct research emphasis pertaining to social justice.

In addition to academic excellence, chosen fellows are to:

  • Engage actively in their research project.
  • Present a lecture showcasing their findings to Centre members.
  • Take part in activities arranged by the Centre.
