Strategic Account Manager – Public Sector at AirtelTigo
Job Summary
- The person who gets the job will join the AirtelTigo Business Department as a Team Lead for SME South.
- (S)he will report to the Sales Manager, SME South, and will be in charge of sales, come up with sales plans, and deliver shareholder value by meeting operational targets for revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction in the SME space in the south.
Key Responsibilities
- In charge of getting daily gross adds.
- Direct a group of Team BDMs to reach a goal.
- Find and train salespeople who can meet sales goals.
- Handle interactions with customers before a sale.
- Keep in touch with customers after the sale.
- Set up the sales storms you’ve been given.
- Come up with a route plan and key initiatives that will help you reach your revenue and gross add goals.
- Get and take care of all the stock that has been given to the team.
- Work with real estate developers to get fixed data and home broadband products out to people.
- Responsible for daily gross adds acquisition.
- Find and train salespeople who can meet sales goals.
- Handle interactions with customers before a sale.
- Keep in touch with customers after the sale.
- Set up the sales storms you’ve been given.
- Take care of BDMs’ performance and growth.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- A degree from a college or university, with a focus on business management, economics, or a related field.
- At least two years of sales/account management experience in an enterprise solutions environment (preferably in Telecoms)
- Must have experience selling business solutions, preferably in telecommunications.
- Good people skills and the ability to talk to others.
- The ability to work on your own.
- Able to contribute to “thought leadership” throughout Enterprise Business and customer organizations.

- Be able to make a strong case for investing money in the AirtelTigo Business Sales Department.
- The ability to tell stakeholders what they can expect from the business and to meet those expectations.
- Able to work in groups and lead groups to reach business goals.
- Driven and able to start things on their own, with the perseverance to see sales opportunities through to the end.
- Be able to represent AirtelTigo Business at every level in a good way.
- Can plan and carry out actions to take advantage of sales opportunities and pay close attention to details.
