POSITION: M&E Officer
Role Purpose
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will collaborate closely with the Results and Learning Manager to assist STAR-Ghana Foundation partners with programme implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, documentation of learning, and reporting.
Key Outcomes:
- A strong portfolio of partners capable of responding and contributing to the STAR-Ghana Foundation’s strategic objectives.
- Partners construct relevant indicators to assess progress toward results and objectives, as well as adequate mechanisms for collection and verification.
- STAR-Ghana Foundation builds partners’ capacity to collect and analyze quality data on progress and results.
- Learning from partners and projects informs STAR-Ghana Foundation’s work and best practices in the sector.
- Regular communication fosters positive relationships with partners, including civil society and local government.
- Accurate and high-quality data and analysis to inform donor reports and other communications.
Role Requirement
- Supports partners according to agreed-upon frameworks. Applies appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools to each project, as well as information presentation, under the R&L Manager. Externally represents the STAR-Ghana Foundation to partners, NGOs, donors, and other institutions.
- The role is in charge of training team members and partner staff in M&E and must be familiar with evolving statistics and database tools for qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Reports to the R&L Manager and collaborates closely with colleagues from the Foundation Management Team (FMT).

Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in M&E (or equivalent)
- Experience with program cycle management, including participatory planning, monitoring, and evaluation of development programs
- Knowledge of financial controls and procedures
- Relevant experience in local and international development, including governance, accountability, and rights
- Direct experience in program appraisal and monitoring experience with facilitating, training, and network building.
