POSITION: Cashier 

Spintex Community Hospital is one of Accra’s greatest private hospitals. A well-equipped 20-bed medical facility with competent staff to provide world-class health services. We provide General Practice and Specialist Consultations.

Job Description

A reputable private hospital is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all monetary transactions accurately and effectively.
• Process patient payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile money.
• Keep a record of daily transactions and reconcile accounts.
• Provide pleasant service to patients and address payment-related issues.
• Keep the cash register balanced at the start and end of each shift.
• Help the financial team with administrative tasks as needed.
• Greeting clients, answering their queries, assisting them in locating things, and offering advise or recommendations.
• Using scanners, scales, cash registers, and other gadgets.
• Balance the cash register and generate credit and debit sales reports.
• Accepting payments, confirming that all pricing and amounts are correct, and providing a receipt to each customer.
• Refund and exchange processing, as well as complaint resolution.
• Bagging or wrapping purchases to protect their safety during transportation.
• Following all retail requirements for using coupons, gift cards, or purchasing special commodities like alcohol or smokes.
• Keeping a clean workspace.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum requirements:

• Senior High School (SHS) certificate or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar position.
• Basic maths skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• A high degree of integrity, precision, and attention to detail.
• Basic computer abilities, especially experience with MS Excel and payment systems.
• The candidate must live in or around Spintex.
