POSITION: Financial Controller
Responsible for
- Managing all financial planning and analysis activities
- Predicting upcoming financial outcomes
- Suggesting modifications to policies or procedures that will enhance financial outcomes.
- Developing and evaluating budgets
- Monitoring, documenting, and evaluating budget discrepancies
- Delivering precise financial statements to management
- Guaranteeing adherence to relevant governmental and industrial standards, among other things.
Key Relationships
- Submits reports to the Managing Director
- Oversees the Finance Department of the company
- Aids the efforts of managers and personnel from other departments to promote effectiveness in internal systems and processes.
- Develops and leads transactional and various interactions with important external stakeholders pertinent to finance, banking, operations, and other associated functions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience overseeing finance teams, developing and evaluating reports, and enhancing financial tools and systems.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification would be a valuable asset.
- Credentials and skills of a Chartered Accountant
- Established business and commercial insight in Accounting, budget formulation, variance assessment, revenue oversight, capital expenditure planning, and other pertinent fields.
- Skilled in MS Excel and additional financial software, encompassing tools for financial modelling and forecasting.
- Extensive understanding of and practical experience with applicable statutory laws and regulations
- Unswayed integrity and capability to uphold a strong standard of compliance and effective corporate governance
- Focus on precision and responsibility
- Excellent skills in organization, problem-solving, and time management
