Located in the Labone/Cantonments area, our firm delivers premium professional services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients across pivotal sectors such as energy, oil and gas, banking, finance, agriculture, and human capital. This senior role offers a unique opportunity to lead our legal practice while contributing to our management consulting services.

Core Responsibilities and Role Scope

As the Legal Team Leader, you will ensure the firm consistently provides robust legal advice and exceptional professional services. This position involves interesting, diverse, and often intense work that demands both legal expertise and strategic acumen.

You will primarily liaise with key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies on behalf of our clients. Furthermore, you will regularly confer with clients, policymakers, and technical specialists to address complex issues. A significant part of your duties will involve conducting detailed legal research and providing authoritative opinions on business transactions.

Additionally, you will analyze, draft, and review a wide array of contractual agreements. You will also perform legislative reviews, interpretation, and drafting tasks. Another key responsibility includes preparing, reviewing, and drafting comprehensive client reports.

Moreover, you will lead critical negotiations, presentations, and client meetings. Finally, you will actively drive business development initiatives to grow the firm’s client base and expand its market presence.

Required Qualifications and Professional Experience

The ideal candidate will be a highly qualified lawyer with a solid post-call track record. You must also possess postgraduate qualifications from recognized tertiary institutions. Additionally, you need between five and eight years of relevant working experience.

Practical experience in the specific job requirement areas listed above is essential. Similarly, advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related software is a fundamental requirement.
