Ghanaian musician Praye Tietia of the popular music group Praye has voiced out on why he decided to react to Shatta Wale for saying hiplife guys are poor.

In an interview with Zion Felix on Father’s Day, Praye Tietia also known as Cartel big J on the “uncut” show was asked why he decided to react to Shatta and he responded by saying quite a lot.

Some of which he said that he feels he is part of the industry and he has been part of the industry for 17 years now so he had to say something about what is going on with the industry and to what Shatta Wale said. He emphasized that things has become easy these days in terms of making music but they still made it possible their time because comparing the two, they really toiled hard.

He continued that in this modern times, making music, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and the likes are there and they make things easy. He said that someone can sit on YouTube, Instagram and make millions of money and promote ones music which wasn’t available in their time.

He added that judging from how hard things were those days, Shatta Wale then known as Bandana couldn’t stand the difficulty and ran away and has come back with new modern strategies to help his music.

Praye stated that Shatta wale should not disrespect the people who came into the industry before he came in and even left for Jamaica for he is making them feel that they did nothing and it tarnishes the brand of the industry too.

According to him, Shatta Wale is setting a bad record and to that, there is the need  to set the records straight with him for people have indeed suffered.
