Shatta Wale reacts to the recent Ban of celebrities from Advertising for Betting companies

Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known widely as Shatta Wale, has taken a swipe at the action taken by the Gaming Commission to ban celebrities from advertising for betting companies.

It has been circulating recently that the Gaming Commission of Ghana has banned celebrities in the country from taking part in any form of promotional project from betting companies.

While speaking in a video spotted by NewsNowGh, the SM boss expressed that it is very sad and also talked about how the new decision was going to affect celebrities. He mentioned that he was at a loss as to why such an action would be taken against them.

He said when the Food And Drugs Authority(FDA) banned some celebrities from advertising for alcoholic drink companies, some celebrities were not bothered at all.

But now, the ban on advertising for betting companies is going to affect a lot of actresses, actors, musicians and many people in the creative industry.

He expressed that he is sometimes shocked at the manner in which some decisions are taken by some authorities who do not take into consideration the effects of such decisions.

ShAtta Wale then called on Ghanaians to wake up and speak with one voice to avoid being treated anyhow by the authorities.
