As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will serve as a discipline leader across multiple complex MEP projects spanning healthcare, education, commercial, biotech, and transportation sectors. This role combines advanced electrical system design expertise with leadership responsibilities and client engagement.

You will oversee innovative electrical designs, ensure building code compliance, and support MEP project managers in delivering high-performance building systems. The position follows a hybrid model with a minimum of two in-office days per week, offering flexibility while maintaining collaborative engagement.

You will also contribute to mentoring junior engineers and participating in Interface’s Pathway to Leadership program, designed to support long-term career growth within the firm.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical system design for complex MEP projects
Manage projects across healthcare, commercial, education, and infrastructure sectors
Ensure compliance with building codes and HCAI healthcare standards
Meet with clients and provide technical consultation
Guide and mentor design staff
Support overall MEP project management efforts
Develop innovative, high-performance electrical solutions

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
7+ years of MEP design or consulting experience
Team leadership and project management experience
Healthcare building design and HCAI compliance experience
Strong understanding of building codes and electrical systems
Excellent communication and client service skills
U.S. work authorization (no H-1B sponsorship available)
