Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will be responsible for:

Designing Electrical Architectures: Create and integrate electrical systems for both fixed-wing and VTOL unmanned vehicles.
Developing Wiring Harnesses: Construct power distribution networks and ensure compliance with EMC/EMI standards.
Selecting Components: Choose and qualify essential electrical components, including power supplies and connectors.
Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Work with avionics, propulsion, and mechanical teams to facilitate system integration.
Conducting Testing and Diagnostics: Perform system-level testing, fault diagnostics, and ground/flight trials to ensure functionality.
Documenting Technical Details: Prepare designs, test plans, and technical reports for regulatory and quality assurance purposes.

Job Requirements

To excel in this position, you should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in aerospace or robotics.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools like DraftSight, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar software.
Power Electronics Knowledge: Strong understanding of battery management systems and avionics integration.
Low-Voltage Experience: Familiarity with low-voltage power systems (12–48V) and DC-DC converters.
Documentation Skills: Ability to produce schematics, harness drawings, and electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Desirable Qualifications

Additional qualifications that would enhance your application include:

Experience with UAV systems or uncrewed platforms.
Knowledge of DO-254, DO-160, or AS9100 workflows.
Exposure to Python or embedded programming for test automation.
Understanding of RF/antenna layout considerations and EMI shielding.
Hands-on testing experience with tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
