About Role

As Senior Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing audit engagements from planning through to completion, while also playing a key role in developing people, processes, and client relationships. You will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality audit services in line with Australian auditing and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review audit engagements across a wide range of industries and client sizes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, seniors, and associates within the audit team
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
  • Ensure compliance with Australian auditing and accounting standards and internal quality controls
  • Oversee audit planning, execution, review, and finalisation processes
  • Identify risks, technical issues, and improvement opportunities across engagements
  • Contribute to the development of internal processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Support business development initiatives and assist with proposal preparation
  • Manage workloads, budgets, timelines, and team resourcing effectively
  • Promote a high-performance, collaborative, and ethical team culture

Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Approximately 7–10 years of experience in audit, with strong exposure to Australian standards
  • Proven experience managing audit engagements and leading teams
  • Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge
  • Sound commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication, client management, and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Experience with CaseWare Working Papers and Financial Statements is highly advantageous
  • Willingness to relocate to regional Queensland and commit to a long-term role in Australia
  • Eligibility for Australian employer-sponsored visa pathways (186 or 482)
