KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the First Officer with the maintenance of navigating equipment.
Responsible as ‘Back Up’ HLO.
Ensuring all Life Saving and Fire Fighting equipment are positioned according to the ships approved safety plan
Carry out planned maintenance and physical checks at determined intervals on all equipment, including the expiry dates and replacement of batteries
REQUIREMENTS
STCW 95 (A-11/1) Certificate of Competency Appropriate proficiency in the operation of
GMDSS Recognised DP Operator’s Certificate
