SEARCA’s fully funded joint Scholarship
SEARCA stands for SouthEast Asian Regional center for graduate study in research and agriculture. SEARCA is a body that is committed to bringing a change that raises the quality of life of families in agriculture through sustainable livelihood.
The field of study of the Graduate program has extended to include institutional development, networking, as well as services to enhance graduate education in the region in its fifty years of existence.
Over the years, SEARCA has maintained its association by networking with international educational bodies to promote new collaboration with government agencies and other industries.
Currently, SEARCA is carrying a joint scholarship project in partnership with these educational institutes: DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme, Agropolis Fondation-SEARCA Joint Scholarship, Tokyo NODAI-SEARCA Scholarship for Dissertation Doctorate, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)-SEARCA Joint Scholarship, Sejong University-SEARCA Joint Graduate Research Scholarship, Bulacan State University (BulSU)-SEARCA Ph.D. Scholarship and some others.
Eligibility criteria for SEARCA fully funded joint Scholarship
These are the criteria set out by SEARCA for those who want to apply for a scholarship. This can be subject to change if it is under a particular Joint scholarship program. The scholarship is open to :
- To begin with, Citizens of SEAMEO countries who are workers in a government institution, academic, or research institution
- Secondly, People who are not over 35 years for those pursuing a master’s and 40 years for Ph.D. Students at the time they applied.
- Also, The field of discipline applicants can pursue should be related to science or agriculture.
- Finally, Your research work should focus on SEARCA’s principal theme of Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural Innovation (ATTAIN) and should focus on these important areas:
- Firstly, Agri-Business Models for Increased Productivity and Income
- Secondly, Sustainable Farming Systems and Natural Resource Management
- Thirdly, Food and Nutrition Security
- Besides the ones above, Transformational Leadership for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARD)
- In addition to that, Gender and Youth Engagement in AR
- Also, Enhanced ARD towards Climate Resilience
- Lastly, EcoHealth/One Health Applications to ARD
What does the scholarship offer?
The benefits applicants derive from this scholarship that is shared between SEARCA and other partners is that,
- First of all, The tuition fee and other school fees are catered for
- Secondly, Allowance for food, accommodation, and incidental expenses
- Also, Health insurance to cater to their wellbeing.
- Furthermore, Allowance for books and supplies
- Last but not least, Travel allowance
- And Finally, Thesis allowance
