SEAOHUN Fellowship 2026 | ASEAN One Health Climate Programme
SEAOHUN is now accepting applications for its 2026 fellowship cohort. This program connects 119 universities across eight Southeast Asian countries. Fellows tackle climate-related health challenges through the One Health approach. This framework recognizes human, animal, and environmental health as interconnected. About the Programme
This fellowship builds regional workforce capacity for climate-health challenges. Since 2020, over fifty professionals have completed this valuable programme already. Fellows work at more than twenty renowned host institutions across Southeast Asia. This year’s cohort places fellows across eleven distinct organizations regionally. These include the FAO, WWF, and World Organisation for Animal Health. The programme also supports ASEAN’s broader One Health Joint Plan of Action.
What Fellows Will Do
Selected fellows engage in genuine cross-sectoral, cross-country professional collaboration. They work full-time and on-site with their assigned host institution. This creates real experiential learning around pressing climate-health intersections. Fellows also generate knowledge products informing national and regional policy directly. Mentorship from national and international experts supports fellows throughout their placement.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be citizens of a SEAOHUN member country specifically. This includes Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and five other nations regionally. Candidates must be 40 years old or younger at the deadline. Relevant academic backgrounds include public health, veterinary medicine, and climate science. Strong professional English proficiency is required throughout the fellowship experience.
Financial Support
This fellowship provides comprehensive financial coverage for selected participants. A stipend covers living expenses, accommodation, and other related costs. Round-trip travel between home and host city is fully covered. Additionally, visa fees and mandatory travel insurance are included.
Required Materials
Applicants submit a current resume and 500-word motivation letter. This letter should identify up to three preferred host organization placements. A letter of support from the applicant’s home institution is also required.
