1. After-School Support Worker
St. Joseph Catholic School students are nurtured in a secure, supportive learning environment. Academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, students are pushed to grow and develop in an environment that promotes connection, good citizenship, and plenty of leadership possibilities.
A committed person is needed to work 2.5 hours a day, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm, on Fridays in our after-school program.
Capabilities & Skills:
- Capable of offering a cozy, nurturing atmosphere for learning
- Adaptable to the program’s and the kids’ evolving needs
- Able to function well in a group setting
- Skills in problem-solving and multitasking
- Capacity to operate with little oversight
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Dedicated to Catholic Education
- Participation in and identification with a Catholic parish is preferred.
- Particular training for the position (preferable for early childhood educators)
- A fruitful experience in early childhood education
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
- Capacity to exercise judgment when handling sensitive information
- Capacity to collaborate well with coworkers, administrators, and children
- Certificate of First Aid Training
