Job Description

Successful candidates will contribute to and lead various site committees. These include the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), Incident Reduction Committee, and Ergonomics Committee. You will analyze workplace safety data and share results, trends, and areas for improvement.

Additionally, you will develop and execute the annual Workplace Safety Business Plan Development (BPD) action plans at your site. Training is another key aspect of your role. You will provide workplace safety training for both new and existing employees.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: Two or more years in Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, or Workplace Safety.
• Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.
• Skills: High initiative and strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and demonstrate strong time management skills.
