A fast-growing rural bank with Head Office in the Central Region is seeking to employ qualified professional / persons to fill the position of Risk and Compliance Officer.
Job Title: Risk and Compliance Manager
Role:
To develop and implement a Risk Management framework for the entire operations of the bank and recommend strategies for managing the risks inherent in the operations of the Bank. He/She shall report to the Board of Directors
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop a risk management framework for the entire operations of the bank Ensure effective and efficient management of operational Risk, Liquidity Risk, Credit Risk, interest Rate Risk and IT Risk
- Carry out periodic Assessment of effectiveness of controls identified in implementing the Risk Management Framework of the bank
- Develop Risk Awareness program for staff and Board
Qualification Required & Experience
- Minimum of First Degree in Finance, accounting or related field or
- Diploma in Accounting / Finance and professional certificate
- High level understanding of risk and credit management in the Financial sector At least 5 years in banking experience of which 3 years must be in top management level particularly in a rural bank
- Well abreast of the financial regulatory environment
