About Role
The Residency Program Coordinator ensures the seamless administration of residency and fellowship programs under the guidance of the Residency Program Director. You will manage applicant interviews, maintain rotation schedules, track resident procedural experience, and coordinate orientation, didactic lectures, and grand rounds.
This role also involves working with international applicants to process J1 and H1 visa documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant medical education standards, and supporting residents, fellows, and voluntary attendings in their professional development.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of resident and fellow interviews, including scheduling and credential verification
- Liaise with House Staff Affairs and Human Resources to process ERAS applications and maintain licensing compliance
- Manage residency software (New Innovations) and maintain accurate demographic and procedural records
- Organize Orientation Day and communicate rotation schedules, conferences, and leaves to house staff
- Assist international applicants with J1/H1 visa applications, submitting required documentation to ECFMG and relevant authorities
- Prepare and maintain resident/fellow schedules, lecture series, and grand rounds
- Maintain residency curriculum, competency-based objectives, and procedural logs in compliance with ACGME standards
- Support internal program reviews, rank order submissions, and administrative oversight of all residency and fellowship activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in medical or academic settings
- Familiarity with graduate medical education compliance standards (ACGME, AMA)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- TAGME certification preferred but not required
- Experience assisting international medical trainees with J1/H1 visa processes
