The role is open to overseas candidates eligible for Australian employer-sponsored visas (subclass 186 and 482), offering a stable pathway to professional practice and settlement in Australia.
About Role
As a Registered Midwife, you will deliver comprehensive, family-focused maternity care across a wide range of clinical settings. This role suits both newly registered and experienced midwives who are motivated to work in a high-acuity tertiary environment while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
You may rotate across multiple maternity services or specialise in a chosen area, supported by 24/7 clinical leadership, structured professional development, and flexible rostering. Positions are available on a permanent full-time, part-time, temporary, or casual basis, with up to 38 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery care across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services
- Deliver care within services such as the birth suite, maternal fetal medicine, high-risk pregnancy, and home maternity care
- Participate in Midwifery Group Practice models, including caseload and specialised community programs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support women, infants, and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NSW Health policies
- Uphold professional, ethical, and child-safe standards in all clinical interactions
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA or eligibility to obtain registration
- ANMAC skills assessment completed or in progress for ANZSCO 254111 (Midwife)
- Eligibility for Australian employer-sponsored visas (subclass 186 or 482)
- Ability to meet NSW Health vaccination, screening, and compliance requirements
- Strong English communication skills suitable for clinical practice
- Commitment to patient-centred, culturally safe maternity care
