POSITION: Farm Management Trainees

Job Description
We are currently at a place where we require dependable employees to come in and assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the processes necessary to get the farm operational.
Responsibilities
- The Farm Management Trainee(s) will report to the Operations Manager and be in charge of the day-to-day care and upkeep of our different farms, which include but are not limited to snail, catfish, and mushroom production.
- These responsibilities include assisting with mushroom production, guaranteeing the well-being and growth of snails and catfish, maintaining the farm’s infrastructure, and supporting the overall running of the farm.
- The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of snail and catfish husbandry practices, as well as mushroom cultivation, and be aware of their respective requirements and optimal growth conditions, or be willing to learn and grow with the company as a junior manager with opportunities.
Required Skill or Experience
- A certificate or training from an agricultural college or university is necessary.
- One year of work experience is ideal, but not necessary.
- Knowledge of modern farming methods would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and expertise in snail, catfish, and mushroom production will be useful, but not required, as training will be offered.
- Physical stamina and the ability to execute physical work like weeding, lifting, hauling, and cleaning are required.
- It is critical to pay attention to detail and be able to watch and monitor the behaviour and health indicators of snails and catfish.
- Basic record-keeping and organizing skills are necessary.
- Working well with other agricultural staff requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing farm conditions/demands, as well as a willingness to work long hours outdoors and in fish ponds during harvests, are needed.
Location / Accommodation: The farm is located in Big Ada, Greater Accra Region. Successful applicants must agree to relocate to Ada. One lunch per day will be provided in addition to shared accommodations.
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
