Our client, a leading natural cosmetics manufacturing company based in Tema, requires the
services of a Purchasing and Supply Officer.
Location: Tema
Required Qualification, Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum of HND or first degree in purchasing and supply or its equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Great organizational and planning skills
- Ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment
- Ability to follow client specifications
- Attention to details
- Excellent networking and time management skills
Key Duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors
- Source materials, goods, products, and services and negotiate the best or most cost effective contracts and deals
- Perform inventory inspections and reorder supplies and stock as necessary
- Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities
- Inspect stock and report any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately
- Update and maintain records of all orders, payments, and received stock
- Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays or orders that have been
rescheduled - Attend product launches and network with industry professionals
- Establish professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers
- Ensure all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner
Salary GH¢700 –GH¢ 800 (Gross)
