Job Description
Project: Water Supply and Sustainability Improvement Programme (WSSIP)/Community-Based Piped Water Supply Financing Project
Length of the contract: 6 months
C-WASH wants to hire a Project Officer who is highly motivated, dedicated, and focused on getting results for a short-term contract of 6 months to help finish a test project in the Ashanti Region.
Job Summary
The person who gets the job will work with piped water supply systems in selected communities and small towns, District Assemblies, and other key project stakeholders to carry out the ongoing Water Supply & Sustainability Improvement Project (WSSIP), which is being tested in selected communities and districts in Ghana’s Ashanti Region.
She or he will be part of a team that will help improve the operating, technical, management, administrative, and financial efficiency of piped water systems in small towns that are run by the communities themselves.
She or he will help the Executive Secretary of the Network of Community Water Services (NETCOWAS) set up an active site for community-managed piped water services in Ghana to encourage cross-learning, sharing, performance review, and performance improvement.
Skills or Experience Needed
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Social Sciences, Water and Sanitation, or another related field.
