POSITION: Senior Finance & Procurement Associate
Job Summary
The Senior Finance & Procurement Associate is responsible for financial and procurement functions, ensuring accurate financial practices and compliance with regulations. Duties include financial reporting and support for procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Develop and monitor financial strategies and budgets; conduct budget reviews and manage cash flow; provide financial guidance.
- Accounting & Reporting: Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts); analyse performance; maintain financial dashboards.
- Procurement Management: Implement procurement policies; manage vendor relationships; oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with laws; conduct risk assessments; establish internal controls for financial and procurement activities.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct market research; collaborate with managers to implement financial goals.
- Audit Reporting: Oversee audits and implement findings; work with auditors for accurate compliance.
- Administration: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators
- Finance & Procurement Planning: Develop 4 strategic plans annually.
- Budget Accuracy: Achieve 90% accuracy in budget forecasts.
- Timely Financial Statements: 100% on-time delivery by the 15th of each month.
- Cost Savings: Identify 10% annual cost savings.
- Risk Mitigation: Mitigate 95% of identified risks.
- Procurement Plans: Develop 100% of yearly plans.
- Supplier Satisfaction: Achieve a 90% satisfaction rate.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with contract terms.
- Inventory Management: Maintain 95% inventory accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: 98% of procured goods meet standards.
- Payroll Management: Submit payroll by the 26th of each month.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation by the 5th of the following month.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accountancy, Finance, or similar qualifications.
- Over 5 years of business finance or related experience in medium or large organizations is REQUIRED.
- A professional credential from Chartered Accounting Organizations. (CA, CIMA, CFA, ACCA, CPA, or similar credentials).
- Experience in managing a complete set of accounts is desirable.
- Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Essential Skills
- Robust financial analysis and modeling abilities.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Tactical reasoning and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of financial or accounting software and systems (e.g. ERP, accounting applications).
- Solid quantitative abilities and a robust background in Finance and Financial analysis.
- Capability to analyze and connect data while creating comprehensive and cohesive business assessments and forecasts to assist senior management with decision-making processes.
- The capability to interact and manage different stakeholders engaged in a project.
- Exhibit a strong sense of integrity and be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
- Proficient in computer use and knowledgeable in Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
- Skills in Microsoft Office, IFCA.net, SQL, and similar programs.
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Eager, honest, open, responsible, fervent, orderly, and precise.
- Dependable, autonomous, optimistic work mindset, and capable of collaborating within a team.
- Capable of functioning with little oversight.
- Versatility and adjustability.
Terms of Employment
PREBBiE Group will be accountable for supplying transport subsidies, office assistance, and other essential materials to support the operations of the Head of Finance & Procurement.
