PNP Pathways for Truck Drivers in Canada | Immigrate to Canada as a Truck Driver

There are multiple PNP options for various sorts of truck drivers, most of which fall under the NOC TEER Code 73300 Transport Truck Drivers category. Transport truck drivers have been added to the list of high-demand vocations in provinces such as British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Alberta.

1. BC PNP for Truck Drivers (ELSS)

You can apply for the BC PNP for truck drivers in the Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled categories. Every two weeks, British Columbia invites applicants to apply for this position. The vast majority of candidates in this category are assigned to NOC TEER 73300. You must meet the following requirements to gain permanent residence as a truck driver under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program:

  • Intention to reside in British Columbia.
  • British Columbia will benefit economically.
  • Language Prerequisites (CLB 4).
  • In Canada, you must have a valid immigration status.
  • I signed a job offer letter for full-time work.
  • A high school diploma from within or outside of Canada is required.
  • Two years of long-haul truck driving experience in the last three years.

2. Saskatchewan Truck Driver PNP

The SINP Long-Haul Truck Driver Project is a one-of-a-kind truck driver program under the Saskatchewan PNP. Long-haul truck drivers might drive for up to 11 hours. However, after eight hours of driving, the motorist must stop for at least 30 minutes. To apply for SINP as a long-haul truck driver, you must first:

As a truck driver, you can permanently relocate to Nova Scotia under the Occupations in Demand stream of the NS PNP. Transport truck drivers are also in high demand in Nova Scotia’s labor sector. If you meet the following requirements, you may apply under this category:

  • Possess a full-time, permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia firm
  • Between the ages of 21 and 55
  • You must have one year of relevant work experience.
  • A high school diploma
  • Possess the necessary training, skills, and/or accreditation for the position
  • Have a CLB Level 4 language proficiency
  • Financial resources to live comfortably in Nova Scotia.

5. Ontario PNP for Truck Drivers

The OINP In-Demand Skills Stream assists truck drivers in living and working in Canada. It is open to both domestic and international workers. The following are the eligibility conditions for truck drivers in Ontario to apply for PNP:

  • A work offer that is full-time and permanent.
  • Expression of interest and application invitation
  • At least nine months of full-time employment experience in three years while legally living and working in Ontario.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s license and at least nine months of driving experience are required.
  • Language Proficiency: CLB 4 or higher is required.
  • A high school certificate or credential is necessary, or its equivalent in another country (ECA required for overseas schooling).
  • Intention to relocate to Ontario
  • If appropriate, legal status in Canada

6. Manitoba PNP for Truck Drivers

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for truck drivers is divided into two streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) and Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO). Long-haul truck drivers must meet all of the following qualifications:

  • Age: You must be between the ages of 21 and 50.
  • Education: At least a secondary school diploma.
    Work Experience: Three years of continuous and verifiable documented work experience as a long-haul truck driver in the last five years in a jurisdiction where truck driver training, licensing, and/or regulation is comparable to North American norms.
  • Proof of Job Experience: Provide evidence of your job experience (reference letters, pay deposits, financial transactions, and/or income tax returns that reflect the complete period of reported employment).
  • Language Level: A minimum CLB 5 language level is required.
  • Funds: Enough funds to establish in Canada.
  • Interview: In-person or video interview, followed by employer verification.
  • Immigration Representatives: Contact information for immigration representatives involved in the recruitment process (LMIA, temporary work permits, and the MPNP process).

7. PEI PNP for Truck Drivers

Truck drivers can apply for Canadian permanent residency through Prince Edward Island’s PEI PNP Occupations in Demand Stream and PEI PNP Critical Worker Stream. When applying for PEI Occupations in Demand, you must:

  • Have a full-time, permanent job offer from a non-seasonal PEI firm.
  • Possess at least one year of relevant job experience;
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 59;
  • At least a secondary school diploma (high school);
  • Produce an authentic language test result from an IRCC-approved testing center with a minimum language proficiency rating of CLB/NCLC level 4;
  • Have enough money to cover your and your family’s immigration fees, including travel costs.
  • The ability of a family to settle in Prince Edward Island.
  • Intention to settle in Prince Edward Island.
