PHOTOS || Suprise as MP abandones the usual V8, rides in Pragiya to church
The Member of Parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency, Hon. Anthony Effah today visited some churches in Beeman Brakwa, his home town.
To the surprise of many, he appeared at those churches in a tricycle popularly called Pragiya.
This was a fantastic display of how the legislator relate and understand the plight of his kingsmen. The congregants were so happy to see their Member of Parliament abandoning the usual V-8 for a Pragyia.
In his speech, the MP said his elevation to the August House has not in anyway distanced him from his people and that he is still on course, championing the development of the district and pushing further to achieve the purpose for which he was elected.
Speaking in the church with a live transmission on newsnowgh.com the MP recounted his contribution to the development of Brakwa from education; paying of two years rent for the headmaster of BRASTECH, contribution to the building of headmaster’s bangalow, donation of 200 mono desk to same school; construction of a footbridge to the school and lobbying to get a two storey building to house the female students. On health, he spoke about modernising the maternity ward of Brakwa health centre; construction of a pavilion for visitors and an ongoing office of the NHIA. He indicated that, construction of a technical workshop for Brastech shall soon begin. He assured the people that a lot still remains and that he has not relented.
