Pezesha is an online marketplace for business loans. We connect MSMEs to affordable working capital and other financial services through a collaborative approach with capital providers.
We are operational in Kenya and Ghana and soon other markets in East and West Africa. We have an ambitious growth plan to target 100,000 SMEs over the next 2 years across Africa by enabling them with affordable working capital.
ABOUT THE JOB
To help us achieve this target, we also need to ensure compliance across the markets we operate in. For that reason, we are considering acquiring a small MFI in Ghana as a path towards ensuring compliance in that market. To help us with the acquisition, we are looking for a consultant to carry out Financial Due Diligence on the MFI over a period of 3-4 weeks.
Scope of work:
- Assessment of quality of historical financial results.
- Assessment of compliance with capital and solvency requirements.
- Review and comment on KPIs related to credit, earnings and liquidity,
- Evaluation of business’s day-to-day operating processes.
- Identification of any tax issues.
- Equity valuation of the company.

Skills, Qualifications and Experiences:
- Accounting professional or firm.
- Financial and tax due diligence experience.
- Experience of working with financial institutions and in particular MFIs or banks.
- Ability to deliver within tight timeframes.
- Excellent and continuous communication.
