Job Summary

Pangea seeks a dynamic Agribusiness Advisory Assistant to support our investment readiness program for agricultural enterprises. This three-month position offers hands-on experience strengthening business capabilities and market connections for promising agribusinesses and producer groups across Ghana. The role perfectly suits emerging professionals passionate about agricultural development and investment facilitation.

Role Overview

As an Agribusiness Advisory Assistant, you will deliver crucial technical and coordination support to enhance the commercial viability of selected agricultural enterprises. You will work directly with the Pangea Ghana team to build capacity in business planning, financial management, and market access while preparing enterprises for investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Readiness Support

  • Develop investment documentation, including business plans, financial models, and pitch decks
  • Prepare one-page investor summaries and capacity-building materials
  • Collect and analyze data for agribusiness assessments and program reporting
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and progress tracking systems

Capacity Building & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate training sessions on business planning and financial management
  • Support enterprise needs assessments through field data collection
  • Facilitate workshops for producer groups based on identified requirements
  • Engage diverse stakeholders through consultations and field visits

Market Linkage Facilitation

  • Connect producer groups with potential off-takers and aggregators
  • Establish relationships with agricultural input providers and service companies
  • Strengthen market access opportunities for smallholder farmers
  • Support the development of sustainable commercial partnerships

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Economics, or Development Studies
  • Minimum two years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong capabilities in data analysis and professional report writing
  • Excellent organizational skills and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with business planning or financial modeling
  • Familiarity with investment readiness assessment tools
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace or customer relationship management systems
  • Background in agricultural development or small enterprise support
