Okyeame Kwame reveals what has made him relevant in the industry all this while

Ghanaian celebrated rapper, Okyeame Kwame born Nsiah-Appau Kwame has recently talked about what has made him relevant in the Ghana Music Industry for such a long time.

Okyeame Kwame is an artiste who is known to have been active in the music scene for about 23 years now.

After these years of activeness, the rapper attributed his success to something he has worked very hard to achieve.

Okyeame Kwame, speaking in a discussion on TV XYZ, revealed also that God has been a source of his success in his endeavors in the industry apart from working very hard.

According to the rapper, that’s how God made his destiny. He said he took steps and put in works as a human being and God helped him out.

He continued that apart from God’s Grace upon his life, he’s also a very talented rapper. He disclosed that he still has interest in rap like when he was five years old. He added that he has the talent and he has always developed it.

He narrated shortly how he went to a certain man called Lord Marcus after his Secondary School to teach him song writing. He said the man taught him well but before he taught him, he let him read one story book that helped broaden his scope in rap. The man asked him to underline, Oxymorons, similes, metaphors he came across and the man supervised accordingly.

Also on the Legends Programme with Agyemang Prempeh, Okyeame Kwame continued that he has recorded nine studio albums, released several singles, done about 500 features and learned a lot too. He said that In the process of doing music, he earned his first degree, a masters degree and still pursuing higher education. He chanced that these and little things like his good management, his style contributes to his relevance in the industry.

He then compounded that Knowledge we know is very key and he lived with that to the point he thought that knowledge he had about music was old fashioned. He then took the initiative to study at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)] to study modern languages (Akan option) and music. He said he understudied Agya Koo Nimo for two years to learn how to play instruments and also learned philosophy and music.
